Micaela Alas-San Miguel

Micaela Alas-San Miguel received nine nominations from her coworkers in the NICU, who observed her caring and amazing patient teaching.  Micaela speaks Spanish and is often asked to help with our Spanish speaking families.  Many times she is assigned to do discharge teaching, and often has complex patients that need thorough teaching for their families.  Micaela is always calm and soft spoken, and reviews everything carefully and fully with the families to be sure they are ready to go home.  She does all this with a smile and wonderful attitude.  She is a role model for the parents and her coworkers that work with her on a daily basis.  Thank you Micaela!
