This nurse is one of the most compassionate nurses I know. We had a patient who unexpectedly coded at home while cooking breakfast with his wife. He was her patient the day he came in and was put on hypothermia. Over the following days there was little improvement.
She was there with his wife every step, including the decision to remove life support. She even came in on her day off to be there with his wife when they terminally extubated. She consistently goes above the standard in care and treats all patients and families like her own family. I constantly receive letters and cards describing how wonderful her care is.
