Micki Page

Micki was nominated by a mother of one of her patients.  Micki helped the mother who nominated her by answering her questions, listening to her vent the frustrations that come with having an ill child, and helped calm her anxiety about her condition.  This mother’s boss was trying to get the mother to come into work.  Micki found out about this and helped the mother with paperwork and gave her the words to use to explain to her boss that she needed to be with her ill child.  Micki was concerned about the child’s condition.  Every step that she took to ensure the child was receiving optimal care, she took the time to explain to the mother what she was doing and why she was doing it.  This helped this mother feel at ease.  The mother commented she feels Micki is doing what she was meant to do.
