Mike Millar
While taking care of a patient in the SICU Unit Mike Millar, BSN, RN discovered that the 92-year old husband was unable to visit his wife. He took the time to call the husband to give him an update and found out indeed the husband had no way to come to Jefferson and also that their caregiver had passed away the week before. In that spontaneous moment Mike got directions and offered to bring him to the hospital on Saturday. On Saturday, his day off, Mike drove to a suburb of Philadelphia, picked up the husband, brought him here, stayed the time of the visit and then took him back home. Mike DID DO what many of us say we would like to do!
