Mila Aco

During a recent blizzard many staff members extended themselves to meet the needs of our unit, but I feel that Mila went above and beyond.  Even though Mila lives closer than some and probably could have made it home, she prepared for the worst and brought not only her PJs but a second set of scrubs in anticipation that there would be a lot of call-in’s.  So in addition to caring for her own safety, she also considered the safety of our patients and her peers during this time of need.  Mila stayed 16 hours on Tuesday, spent the night on a gurney in outpatient rehab and then came back and worked 7-3 on Wednesday.  Thanks to Mila we were one of the most well staffed units in the hospital on Wednesday.

Mila is the epitome of a great nurse in so many ways.
