Monica Davis

Monica's nursing practice defines excellence and compassion. She always maintains a positive attitude, consistently collaborates with all members of the healthcare team, assists wherever help is needed, and is an overall joy to be around. Her patient care is exemplary in the nursing profession. Recently, one of her coworkers with a complicated health history, underwent surgery and was assigned to her in the Main PACU. Monica took on the challenge of caring for one of her peers with ease and without hesitation. Although it was evident many staff members desired to "see" their coworker or visit with him, Monica was respectful while maintaining his privacy to ensure a quiet and dignified recovery. I nominate Monica for the DAISY Award for going above and beyond, while maintaining professionalism. She is an asset to MUSC and a shining example of what all RN's should strive to be.
