Phaedra Truglia

Phaedra has been working as a Staff Nurse at CHB for 12 years. Her colleagues describe her work as dedicated and very committed to Pediatric Oncology.

In her nomination, a very grateful family described how much they appreciated Phaedra’s advocacy for their daughter who went through very challenging times while she was hospitalized in the unit: “From the first hour of my daughter being admitted to 6 North, Phaedra made us feel like we are important. Our family cannot thank her enough for taking the initiative and going the extra mile for us. Life is not easy with our daughter’s diagnosis, but Phaedra made it easier—and I believe she has a big part in our daughter’s cure and why she is smiling a lot more. Phaedra really cares for our family and she is an amazing nurse. We all believe Phaedra deserves the DAISY award because she is an extraordinary nurse.”
