Rachael Powell

Rachael always goes above and beyond every day with every patient. Her patients always have everything they need, and then some! However, I am nominating her for a DAISY award because every time we have one of our chronic kids she always does a special thing for them - - she finds out what they like to eat, has it delivered and pays for it out of her own pocket, and then takes her lunch in and eats with them! These kids always look forward to this special day with Rachael! She consistently does things for patients that she pays for on her own.

Rachael regularly spends countless hours in her patients’ rooms and every patient is special to her. She makes them feels special too! Some of our chronic kids don’t have much and the time Rachael spends with them makes them feel special at least during their admission time here.
