Rebecca Bugala

Rebecca was extremely helpful and supportive during my most difficult time in labor.  At 24 hours of active labor, I went through my 3^rd “transition” like phase with continuous contractions and nausea.  My husband was utterly tired and his attempts at calming me were not effective.  Without my asking, Rebecca stepped in and helped me with my natural labor experience.  She used mental relaxation techniques and counter pressure on my back.  She helped to support my weight when I was standing.

Just after this very intense period, she stayed with me to talk.  She was a very good listener.  She was not pushy or opinionated.  I had reached my limit, and I was faced with the decision of using an epidural.  I always thought I would completely regret the decision, but after laboring with me, Rebecca helped me to make the decision.  The decision was not an easy one or a quick one, but the right one at the time.  She is the reason for my remarkable St. Luke’s experience.
