Rita Thrash

Rita, RN, the first nurse to care for my husband when he arrived on the floor.  Totally committed to seeing to his needs, Rita was helpful in so many ways.

She was a constant presence and I really appreciated the extra effort.  He has Alzheimer’s and was constantly pulling at his IV.  Rita devised a bath cloth with tape around it so that he could “pick” at that instead!  I thought it was a great idea…working on the solution, not the problem!!  Her concern was serving his needs as well as my needs.  I stayed day and night with my husband, and she made sure I had coffee and the linens needed at nighttime.

She has a real heart for her patients, and I felt so secure knowing Rita showed such attention to detail in his care.
