Robyn Rivera

Robyn Rivera was nominated by one of her fellow nurses. This nurse personally witnessed her taking such great care of her patients. She said “It doesn’t matter whose patient it is or what their history is, Robyn always shows exceptional compassion for all the patients.”

Robyn took a phone call from a very distressed mother that had been discharged home earlier in the day. Robyn walked her through every step of calming her baby down and getting her baby ready to eat. By the time she was finished talking with the mother, her baby had calmed down. It was heartwarming to listen to her interact with that patient over the phone as it most likely was for that overwhelmed mother.

Robyn has such a vast history in the medical field from be a social worker, an educator and a bedside nurse. She is a joy to work with and her care and compassion for all mothers and babies is obvious. Robyn is also fluent in Spanish and has really helped to educate staff on cultural differences as well as make the Spanish-speaking patients more comfortable on our unit.
