Rod Bebee

I nominate Rod Bebee, RN from Radiology, as a deserving recipient of the DAISY Award. Rod was very encouraging to my mom before both procedures she had in his department. He was straight forward about what to expect, but at the same time compassionate. 

Rod told my mom before her vertebroplasty that if she could walk into his department the next day, he would buy her a cup of Starbuck’s coffee. 

This was enough to encourage my mom the next day to get up and get moving. I wheeled her most of the way to the radiology department from her room, but then she got up and used her walker to walk into the radiology department. Rod was true to his word and bought my mom her cup of coffee. It made her smile and encouraged her to keep moving during the rest of her recovery.
