Sandy Peacock
I had the pleasure of being Sandy’s patient for part of my stay here at Miami Valley Hospital. As a nurse myself, I know how difficult it can be to make every patient feel like your “only patient” but that is exactly what she made me feel like. She advocated for the best care for me as well as took time out to sit with me and treat my emotional health as well.
I was emotionally distressed over not being able to see my young daughter and the fear of how my new health condition may affect my home life. She took all the time she had to talk with me and help heal the entire patient. She was the driving force in helping me come to accept things and move me forward on my path to discharge. She impacted me so immensely that it made me realize what I needed to start doing for my patients in the ER. If her actions did so much for me, I wanted to do this for others.
Sandy is an amazing nurse and an asset to Miami Valley Hospital. It truly made an impact on my stay that I was lucky enough to have such a compassionate nurse who was willing to continually go above and beyond. Thank you, Sandy! You really touched my heart and helped to heal me!
