Sara Skitka

In an atmosphere of pain and suffering and loss, families are reduced to the help and care of others.  Sara’s faith and hope became our faith and hope and her outstanding patient care relieved our hearts to know she was there taking care of my brother.  Sara brought joy and brightness into the room whenever she came in with her interest, care and smile.  She never seemed in a hurry, but took time to really inquire into my brother’s needs.  She sympathized with our family’s need to know and be aware of the treatment, and she never patronized us or discounted our questions and concerns.  By the time we left that floor, Sara had become part of the family and we believed that she considered my brother’s recovery not just part of her job, but of personal concern to her.  We shall always be most grateful for the extra steps beyond which she displayed and beyond the professionalism which she also demonstrated so clearly.
