Sarah Rasmussen

Sarah Rasmussen seems to be everything to everybody.  While supervising her well oiled machine--that is her super coordinated team of specialized professionals in the Cardio-Thoracic Unit, she recognized with great compassion the extreme concern of a family which was in fear of losing their loved one-our family.

She came to us, taking time from her important responsibilities, and patiently and caringly heard and empathized with our concerns, reassured us, educated us, and made sure we were appropriately informed and taken care of.  Further, over the course of our loved one’s stay, she has continued to personally oversee his case.  What was particularly striking was that she also appeared to be doing the same for the other families as well.  She is a true ambassador of good will for Suburban Hospital.

With respect to her staff, and to Sarah’s credit, each member of her team is clearly well trained, highly motivated, and extremely positive and caring—and their cooperative approach (including thorough briefings to ensure quality continuity of acre) is highly commendable.  Each member of the team knew precisely what was previously done, what needed to be done, and did that with great efficiency and heart.  It is well known that a team’s performance is only as good as the leadership skills of the manager—and this teams’ performance is exemplary.

Sarah Rasmussen’s performance is well deserving of recognition for excellence.  Her staff is a tribute to her and to your hospital.
