Sarah Zangle

Sarah Zangle is the type of nurse this award was made for. She first and foremost has the well being of every patient in the ER in the forefront of her mind. There is nothing a patient needs that Sarah won't do....and even if it's my patient...I can go in the room to do something...whether it be triage a patient, or hand out a medication....well if you are working with Sarah you can bet she is going to beat you into your room. She works so hard to help everyone.

A prime example happened just today. A critical child was brought into the Emergency Room...Sarah rushed into the room and took command of a chaotic situation and was the first to have everything prepared. It was not even her patient, and she followed through with them, even taking them to the PICU herself. She pulls kids to rooms from the waiting room and does her best to get them seen as soon as possible.

Sarah is always respectful to her co-workers, and amazing with her patients and families. She sits on many committees and is even working on the professional practice committee to come up with better ways to do things in the Emergency Department. She works hard, and truly deserves this award. It would be just a start in giving her the recognition she deserves.
