Sherri Myrum

Sherri is such a tremendous ICU nurse who does much that is overlooked.  She is reliable and a wonderful team player.  She is a formal leader as a preceptor, but also an informal leader by her consistent and unbiased, excellent patient care and dedication to meeting her every patients’ needs.

Just today, she gave up her patient assignment to take care of an acutely ill pediatric patient.  She was observed as providing excellent care to the patient, but also being a strong support for the child’s parents.  She helped coordinate end-of-life care and seemed to effortlessly meet every need, keep MD’s in the loop and monitor for changes in the patient’s condition.

I nominated Sherri because great care should never go unnoticed.  She was our rock today and the patient’s biggest advocate.  Thank you, Sherri for your unwavering commitment to your patients and your ability to truly strengthen our team during such a tough time.  You are amazing.
