Anna Thompson

Excerpt from Anna’s Nomination:

My mother has been a patient at your hospital many times over the years. She has a rare artery disease plus cancer hooked to her carotid artery, jugular vein and surrounding veins plus neuropathy. Anna Thompson is the only nurse who goes out of her way to make sure Mom gets what she needs, when she needs it. Everyone else may be great nurses, but Anna is the only person who can make my mom laugh out loud, smile and totally change her mood. This is a miracle for her family. No matter how upset or mad Mom may be, Anna can brighten her day in an instant. I think that if every nurse was the way Anna is, the entire hospital would be happy, thoroughly taken care of-with no wait. We love Anna for her honest, compassionate care. She gives 250% of herself to her patients and her co-workers.  Every time, I mention her name to other personnel they all say she is a very special person. I can honestly say we think of her as family. She is an angel! I pray that Anna wins the Daisy Award. Please let Anna know that we will never forget her and that she sets the standard for excellence, love, compassion and hope.
