Annette Bruney
Annette has been an Oncology Nurse at Saint Peter’s University Hospital for the past 21 years. She is very focused and dedicated to her patients and their families. Before punching out at the end of her shift, Annette will say goodbye to all her patients and let them know when she is scheduled to work again. Three years ago the Oncology staff decided not to exchange gifts at Christmas but would donate the money to a different charity every year. Annette spearheaded the charity project for Oncology and identified patients who needed assistance. Annette frequently calls her patients after discharge to check on them and see if they have any post discharge questions. Annette is often seen walking the halls of the Oncology Unit on her day off, often delivering one of her patient’s favorite meal, which she often purchases with her own money She never stops putting a smile on her patient’s face.
