Barbara Rosemond
Barbara "BJ" Rosemond is the team lead of the nurses in the pre-op area at the Meridian Mark Surgery Center and is considered by many to be the unsung hero of the center. She has worn many hats during her years at Children’s and is most deserving of her role as a leader. Barbara sets a great example for other nurses to follow – providing optimal care at bedside and beyond for her patients. Whether she’s prepping patients for surgery, collecting health histories over the phone or referring patients who are not candidates for surgery at the center, Barbara’s level of professionalism and compassion never waivers. She’s also an active member of the R&R Committee, organizing staff donations to a local orphanage where she volunteers. According to a colleage, "BJ has made such a difference for so many children during her career. She sets the bar for excellence high, and it’s an honor to be part of her team."
