Carol Williams
Carol received several nominations. Some of their comments were: Carol has a special quality about her that makes patients like me feel safe and really cared for. She always has a smile, a gentle touch, and a kind heart. During our many trips to TMC, we have seen nothing but true nursing from her. She has a loving attitude, is tender and patient. She goes above and beyond to make her patients comfortable and feel loved. Carol always demonstrates the highest form of competency, and appears to get along with all of the doctors and staff. She always jokes around with us and she can take a joke too. We discovered that she is very generous and so thoughtful that she has taken her own money and purchased items to help a patient and family member who didn’t have the money. During the Easter holiday we saw her bring in an Easter basket to a patient’s daughter because the patient was too sick to provide a basket herself to her child. If all nurses had her heart, it would be a better place for all TMC patients. She should give a class on “Caring” because she consistently cares from and for the heart. She makes all visitors smile. Carol is a very special person and when my family became aware of The DAISY Award program at TMC, we could not think of a more qualified nurse or person.
