Cindy Haney

Cindy was nominated by a patient's family member and coworker:

My aunt was here a couple of months ago with her boyfriend. He was hospitalized with complications due to dementia which he had been battling for 10 years. He came in the ER one night and was admitted. My aunt was worried and scared. She had been with him 3 years and he was also her teenage sweetheart many years ago. They had just been reunited 3 years and he passed away in July at her home. While he was here, Cindy was very kind to my aunt. She showed her how to get to the room and helped her. I was working and unable to get to her to be of comfort. It was so nice and I was so relieved when I saw Cindy helping her and being supportive. As I worked with Cindy myself for many years I know she is a very caring nurse. She is not only caring in nursing but in her personal life also. She is one of those people who help people on a daily basis and cares for all creatures great and small!
