“Connie opitimizes what the DAISY Award stands for. She is very compassionate and caring individual with her patients and families. Connie consistently goes above and beyond during her shifts. Her patients are always crisp, clean, and well taken care of. She is excellent with patient families in all aspects of their needs as well. She makes them feel comfortable and educates them on their loved ones condition. She is a leader on our unit and in the RNIII role. She is consistently our charge nurse and staff knows we will have a good day when she is our leader. She is a member of AACN and also holds the office of Treasurer. She attended NTI last year at her own expense and shared the valuable knowledge that she gained with the rest of the unit. Connie is a seasoned nurse who deals well with complicated, extremely ill patients. She is also very good with relaying information to physicians and has a good relationship with many MD's on the different services we deal with i.e. Neuro, Pulmonary, Trauma etc. Connie has been a nurse many years and is always eager to pass on her exceptional knowledge and skill when needed to make MICU a wonderful place to work.”
