"Debra Curry has consistently been the nurse that has been requested
over and over by patients. Debra has sat by the bed of dying Hospice
patients & comforted their families in their grief. Debra has been the
nurse who has the patience to deal with difficult families and patients
when no one else could. She is the nurse that bought a bicycle for a 10
year old boy who would not have had Christmas and she delivered the bike
to his home, but told the family it was a gift from someone else rather
than take the credit for herself for doing this unselfish gesture for a
child. This is so typical of her. Debra appreciates Christmas as a special time for families and even though she cannot be with her own son at Christmas, he
is serving our country in IRAQ, Debra consistently expresses her
compassionate care for others. Debra is a team player and makes sure
other nurses have the help they need. She is willing to work for them if
they need time off even on weekends. We thank you for all you do, Debra,
as that shining example to us of what nursing at Hamilton is all about!"
