Diane Elsner

…She has played every role in our department. Not once in the 19 years that I have worked with her have I heard anyone say that Diane was anything but a team player. She looks for ways to help others in every role she plays. She is a resource for the young and the inexperienced. Diane has a way of telling you what you need to know without embarrassing you in any way. She is such a patient advocate. Earlier this year we admitted a patient to L&D who was also very concerned about her 8 year old’s birthday party that she would miss the next day. Diane worked with IC to have a birthday party in the room even though it took special planning since the child had a history of MRSA. The care that she gives to her patients is unsurpassed. She is the same with every patient-be they easy or difficult.  Diane gives loving care to the patient and their family. When I make rounds on MBU to see about a patient’s stay in L&D, if Diane was in the room at all during her stay, her name is mentioned. She leaves a mark every where she goes.
