Gigi Gempesaw
Gigi provides compassionate, thoughtful care to all patients and families. Gigi is able to identify needs of the patients through Kaizen and critical thinking and consistently delivers solutions to our patients and families. Gigi role models best practice in patient rounding through purposeful and thoughtful questions and listening. Gigi is a true advocate for patients, families and her team. Gigi is an outstanding nurse who really cares about what is best for our patients. Gigi always sets the bar high for herself and her staff. Patients ALWAYS come first and I think the excellent care that is consistently provided on Level 16 is due to her leadership and mentoring. She is a wonderful supportive teacher and preceptor really helping new nurses develop excellent work habits that will ensure their success. Her communication with everyone (patients, family, MDs, and staff) is excellent - clear, concise, and always respectful. Her follow-though, even for small details, is great. Over the 8 years I have worked with Gigi I have decided that I would like to have her care for me or my loved ones. This is the highest praise I could give any nurse.
