Ishmael truly exemplifies our mission . He is always ready for a new
challenge. He became the PCC for our unit , last year. He seems very young
for this role, but he brings a lot of energy, humor, skill & intelligence
into his position. I find that he can easily transition from the role of PCC
to staff nurse & vice versa .

I remember the last time we worked together, he took 3 admits, back to back , to ease our workload. Another time, a patient went into respiratory arrest & Ishmael was right there, leading & directing the code with ease & efficiency. He had barely admitted a critical patient ,but, he coordinated the code & caring for his sick patient, flawlessly.

I admire his penchant for detail & neatness, his innate ability to treat all people with respect & dignity. He is the best person to deal with an emergency, as he keeps"his cool" & remains clear headed & focused.

I hope he will rise to higher levels in our health system. But, until then, I
hope he gets recognized with this award, for all that he does for his
patients & co-workers.
