Most nurses say the profession was their calling. Kiah Lofland’s staff know it was hers. She is a natural at providing excellent care to patients, as well as her staff. With quality care as her primary goal, Kiah serves as an educator, motivator and the unit’s go-to person. She works the night shift, but regularly makes herself available for the day shift when needed. She recently achieved her CPN certification and became PICC line certified, eliminating the need to transfer Children’s at Hughes Spalding patients to get a PICC line. Fellow nurses are inspired by Kiah’s dedication to her role and aim to follow her example. "Kiah is a joy to work with and has a wonderful heart for the job that she does.
