Laura Clegg

Laura has been at Piedmont for many years and is well known to the staff throughout the hospital. She has exhaustive knowledge of the details and nuances that are necessary to make this hospital run smoothly from day to day. Everyone knows that she handles staffing and bed assignments-both huge responsibilities- but many do not know the "behind the scenes' work that the supervisors do to make life for the staff nurses and patients easier. Laura is a role model in our department and in the hospital. Due to recent changes in the department her role is being changed significantly. She will be assuming many new responsibilities. Laura has accepted these changes with professionalism and grace. She is putting great effort into ensuring that the Clinical Manager have everything they need to do the job and make the transition smooth. She exemplifies the "Piedmont Promise" and the attributes of DAISY winners every day. Her actions are geared toward keeping our patients, staff, and visitors safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
