Nancy Tvedt
Nancy is a nurse who consistently demonstrates her wealth of knowledge and experience in caring for our complex patients. She is able to identify subtle changes in her patients’ condition and respond appropriately and immediately. Regarding her kind and compassionate care, one patient wrote, “I want to thank Nancy for being extremely helpful. I feel she went above and beyond what I expected. She gave me excellent care and informed me of what was going on and why. She has been an incredible nurse and deserves absolutely no less than great praise!” The Surgery O team wrote, “Nurse Nancy is a truly compassionate, competent caregiver whose care of our patients over her many years of service is truly outstanding.” Nancy is also one of our Wound Ostomy Resource Nurses (WORN). She touches so many lives, either in direct care or through her many teaching moments with staff, and is very deserving of this award.
