Robert Zilke
On Sunday evening my husband Julian Hawes was admitted to the ICU unit experiencing what we thought were chest pains. At best one could characterize our states of minds as terrified! However there are times in life when the perfect person comes along at just the moment you need help most...in walked Robert Zilke the nurse on duty that evening! To say that he was a consummate professional would be an understatement. He immediately put us at ease with his knowledgeable & thorough treatment and calming manner. Each time there was medication was given, tests to be taken, his follow-up with doctors he always made us feel that we were an important part of the information loop. Unfortunately my husband has had more stays in a hospital than he'd like, but never have we felt so well cared for and about! Luckily this time we went home with good news and no heart attack! With all of the assistance Robert gave my husband, I was also in need of help. I was recovering from recent foot surgery and not able to walk well. My special thanks for Robert's help on that score as well. Robert truly made us feel like my husband was the only person he had to care for.
