Sonia received several nominations:

I am nominating her for the DAISY Award because she is the most caring, compassionate nurse I know. She is always there for every one of her patients, each and every patient loves her and says that she always takes the time to sit and talk with them and help them understand their treatment. Most of all, she always puts a smile on their face during the toughest times of there lives. Her patients always come first!

Good team member – She is a nurse that is willing to help out no matter how busy she is. She is always picking up days for people who need days off, passing meds to patients that are not in her group. She is an outstanding nurse. If all nurses were as dedicated and helpful as she our hospital would be paradise. 

She is very helpful to the patients; she is so good with patients and coworkers.

She is all of the above. She is one of the nurses that helps our patient’s families trust us. The families will actually go home and rest, entrusting their family member to her care. She keeps everybody on our floor going. Extremely good listener. She always has an ear for anyone in need. I can’t think of anyone more deserving.
