Stephanie Baker

Stephanie Baker is a very gentle, compassionate nurse.  She is also very spiritual and truly believes God places her where he needs her. 

One day an end stage patient made the decision to become a hospice patient and go to Hospice House.  The patient was also spiritual.  Even though this was not her patient, she made the time to go and sit at the patient’s bedside and read the bible to her before she transferred to the Hospice House.  The patient was very grateful and stated how much that put her at peace before she left.

She exhibited:  excellence, service, quality of life, compassion and human dignity all in one small action.
