Here is an excerpt from the Daisy Award nomination for Susan Gonzales written by the 5S PCD, John "Chip" Holmes.
"I had the daughter of a patient stop by my office this evening to discuss Susan with me. The daughter said that Susan never seemed rushed and always moved with a quiet confidence. Susan seemed to have an instinct about when the daughter needed reassurance or a little more explanation. The daughter was reassured by how knowledgeable Susan was and by how compassionate she was with both her father and her. She went on to discuss that her father had been hospitalized several times in the last 6 years and that she has never felt as comfortable with any nurse as she was with Susan."
