Sue had a patient that was here with respiratory issues. The patient’s sister was admitted to the rehab floor. The patient and her sister are extremely close. Sue asked if the patient could go over to the rehab floor to see her sister. The physician assistant approved that but staff needed to go with. Sue took 30 minutes out of her day and personally took that patient to the rehab floor to visit with her sister. The patient could not be left alone due to the respiratory issue. Sue stayed outside the room until the visit was complete. Then she told the patient she would bring her back later that day.
