Theresa Scharn

Theresa’s clinical skills and compassionate care exemplifies the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. Theresa consistently provides her patients with safe quality care. Her natural ability to instantly develop trusting relationships with her patients and their families is special.

Recently, Theresa was caring for a challenging patient with special needs. She went over and above to make sure his needs were met.  Theresa went down to the gift shop and bought special shampoo and conditioner working to remove the knots from his hair eventually ending up giving him an great haircut.  The expression on his face was priceless.  He was so very proud to walk around the unit showing off his new look.

Theresa has a heart of gold.  She is respected and appreciated by her patients, families, her peers, and the 5-3 management team.  We are proud to honor Theresa, our June DAISY Nurse.
