Tonya Lee

Tonya is very deserving of the DAISY award, according to the patient and his wife who nominated her. “I recently donated a kidney to a friend. I have to say that it didn’t feel like I was in the hospital! I had the privilege of having Tonya as my primary nurse.  You have to understand that I was more concerned with my wife’s comfort than for my own.  My concerns were quickly quieted as Tonya took such great care of me and my wife. Tonya got a recliner so my wife could sleep comfortably beside me.  That was very important to us. I found it odd I did not have to use my call light…Tonya was there! She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask.  Tonya demonstrated genuine concern and compassion to me and my family by taking the time to answer any and all questions we had.  She never rushed out of the room. We feel Tonya stood out as a nurse. She has excellent communication skills with her patients and genuine compassion for her patients and their families.”
