She has received many letters of thank you from her patients. I have enclosed one for your review. She is a positive role model for all staff providing them with her enthusiasm for patient care practice excellence. She is involved in unit Quality Improvement projects, assists with updating unit policy and procedures and also providing the staff with continuing education related to our practices. I am happy to nominate Vickie for the DAISY Award as she is a compassionate care provider to all of her patients. Vicki's patient wrote: I want to sincerely thank you for the kindness and thoughtfulness that all of your actions conveyed while I was under your care before and after the procedure of that day. I found you to be the consummate professional as you tended so meticulously to my every need. Furthermore, the entire time I was in (department) I was not wanting for anything and there was never any doubt in my mind that you were the kind soul who was constantly monitoring what needed to be addressed and at what time. In point of fact, you were always appearing in my room every time I seemed to need something. I never had to look or call for you. It was very reassuring to be under your watchful eyes. When I was experiencing some very intense post procedure pain, you were at your best as you did not hesitate to involve yourself and other members of the staff to do what had to be done to bring me the relief that I sorely needed! I count myself quite fortunate and extremely thankful to have received the amazing level of care that you provided me with. This not only highlights the top notch professional that you are, but speaks to your compassion and willingness to serve that are cornerstones of who you are as a person Thank you Mrs. G for keeping my spirits up with your infectious smile, and for working so assiduously above and beyond the call of duty in helping me to get through this experience with as little angst as possible. May God bless you and keep you safe. With respect, love and admiration, Your Patient.
