After I felt the usual symptoms of a bowel obstruction, the first fear that comes is the insertion of the dreaded NG tube. To date, I have had 4 bowel obstructions. I know the symptoms and procedures well. When I knew it was close to getting that dreaded NG tube inserted, Wendy was able to calm me. Actually, the insertion was the best one ever!!! Anyone who has ever had an NG tube inserted can appreciate how much this can mean! Her calming manner and the way she was able to calm me to be able to do her work will forever be remembered!
