Willie Brantley

I would like to nominate Willie Brantley for the DAISY award.  I think he deserves this award for many reasons.  He is a great professional nurse, has the best bedside manner not only with our patients but is also great with family members and coworkers.  He is always willing to help no matter what and always does so with a great attitude.

Today, for example, he was on the way out the door when an attending physician ordered a stat CT scan.  My patient was in critical condition, intubated, and on multiple drips.  Even though the shift was over, Willie turned around and offered help.  We took the patient to CT in a matter of minutes.  In my opinion this assistance gave me the tools to provide my patient with excellent care.

Willie’s dedication for the well being of our patients should be a great example for every caregiver in the institution!
