“Yadi” loves her profession and her compassion for others shines through in everything she does.  She provides encouragement to the other associates and completes each task with humor and a smile.  She does her best to foster a positive work environment which creates a pleasant home-like atmosphere for the residents.  Yadi constantly goes above and beyond the call of duty.  In fact, her clinical judgment and skilled assessments have reduced injuries and admissions to the hospital.

Recently, one of the residents was in the dying process and it was very evident the family was having difficulty accepting the inevitable.  Yadi took many hours to sit and provide education, guidance and consoling to the family.  After the resident passed, we received a note acknowledging the comfort Yadi provided during the difficult time in their lives.

I am very pleased to nominate Yadi for the DAISY Award.  She is extremely competent in her nursing skills and brings her positive energy into her resident care.  She has mastered the art of working with residents and families in a calm effective manner and is an excellent example to co-workers, nursing students and the public.

Yadi definitely makes a difference.  She dispenses comfort, compassion and caring without even a prescription.
