Yvonne Alaibilla

She has been a charge nurse and preceptor because of her fantastic leadership skills. When she is in charge, she checks in with the nurses, especially the floats and new grads and makes sure that they get the support that they need. She understands what it takes to run the unit without having to micromanage the staff.  As a preceptor, the new nurses she precepts comment that she is a great listener, gives advice when needed and is very supportive.  "A great mentor."

Her patients appreciate her kindness. She takes time to listen to them and advocates for them. She spends time with those who need it and she doesn't shy away from the more difficult patients, instead she is able to find out their needs and then is able to set limits with them.

She is a team player, very thorough, her clinical skills are top notch and she is a great resource person for our night shift. She has a positive attitude, and even in the most difficult situations she has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
