Yvonne Holloway-Billison once said to a co-worker, “I want to be the kind of nurse that takes care of her patients like I would want my children taken care of.” Yvonne doesn’t just say that, though. She lives it through her dedicated service to her patients and their families. Another co-worker said, “She is always so kind and attentive to not only her little patients, but also to their families. She has always been compassionate and honest with these parents even when the news was not good.”

Recently, Yvonne showed another example of her thorough and kindhearted care. She not only provided exemplary support for the family while their infant was in the NICU, she continued that support through the funeral service for the child. Yvonne demonstrates this dedication to providing excellent care to every family that she cares for in the NICU. She is a kind and attentive nurse whose colleagues are honored to be associated with her.
