The 10th Anniversary of the very first DAISY Award was celebrated at UW Medicine in Seattle on February 10.

What a great evening it was, with hundreds of nurses attending from UW Medicine's University of Washington Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, and Northwest Hospital. The CEOs and CNOs of each facility spoke, as did DAISY Co-founders Bonnie and Mark Barnes. Special tribute was paid to the nurses of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance whose care for Patrick Barnes inspired The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Special thanks to Cindy Angiulo, RN, MSN, who chaired the event and serves on DAISY's Board. She and her committee put on an event no one will forget.
