I felt like I was being cared for by my favorite grandson! I had a TKR and post-op had anemia and severe iron deficiency. I had a blood transfusion, 3 iron infusions, a heart monitor, a CT scan, etc. Aaron coordinated all my tests. He kept me informed, explained the doctor's directives, medical procedures, attended to my IVs, and meds. He thought of and found ways for me to get extended care and medical supplies.
So many ways he helped me feel better, but the best part was the compassion he showed: listening, reassuring hugs, and encouraging words. Aaron is knowledgeable, respectful, dedicated, and organized, everything you could want in a nurse. I didn't think I would like McLaren Northern, now I love it! I didn't think I would like a male nurse but Aaron proved me wrong! I think he proved they are as good or better. Every meal he asked if I liked it. If I got hungry, he got me food. Aaron ran from room to room. He checked on me hourly. (The first day he was in the room a lot.)
