I went to see my doctor for a routine pregnancy checkup. I was 6 ½ months pregnant with twins. I reported to the doctor that I had been having some contractions and he told me hopefully they were Braxton Hicks contractions and that he would check me out. The next thing I knew my doctor was telling me that my baby's head was about to come out and he was having me taken over to the hospital from his office on a stretcher. The labor and delivery nurses from the hospital came to his office with the stretcher and pushed me over to the labor and delivery unit.
Lots of people rushed in my room and were starting my IV, drawing blood, and talking to me about surgery and delivering my babies. Alvie came in my room and told me he was the nurse that would be going with me to surgery. Alvie came in with a calm voice when I was scared and held my hand. Alvie talked to me and reassured me that my babies were going to be ok. Alvie continued to talk to me all the way to the operating room. After my c-section, Alvie stayed and did my recovery time because all of the other nurse were busy taking care of my small twins. Alvie continued to talk calmly to me while he frequently checked on my babies and reported back to me. All of the nurses were awesome but Alvie helped me when I was most scared.
