The patient's son took her to Dallas for her granddaughter's graduation. While there, she fell and hit her head on a curb. She refused to go to the ER, afraid that they wouldn't let her go to the graduation. She returned to San Angelo but didn't feel well.
The patient went to Urgent Care South and they did an X-ray and Cat Scan. She then left and went to the grocery store since she had been out of town. Her phone rang several times while she was driving, but she didn't answer. When she got home Amy Hoffman was waiting for her and said they had been trying to call and they were worried when she didn't answer. Amy told the patient she needed to go to the ER right then and Amy drove the patient there herself.
The patient was admitted to the hospital with a brain bleed and concussion and then sent to a nursing home for a couple of weeks. She said the staff at Urgent Care South saved her life, especially Amy Hoffman. The patient hopes that Amy gets the recognition for what she did for her.
