Today marks one year since our precious Katie left us, and through this year I've thought of you many times; your positive, happy attitude and your beautiful smile always. Katie always hoped Amy would be her nurse. She just loved you, and she was so blessed to have you through these tough times.

I miss my girl everyday but I feel her with me too. She was so strong and I think she is now helping us all to go on and find happiness. Katie's young son is officially adopted by Katie's sister and is doing really well. He remembers his mama. He will just say things about her sometimes and we are so thrilled when he does. She was an awesome mommy and she has the most awesome person to take her place. Very blessed in so many ways. They live in Omaha so we don't see each other as often as I'd like, of course, Grandma's are like that!

I wanted you to have this necklace in memory of Katie. She really did "believe" in so many good people, ideas, life, love, and she told me she was excited about where she was going when she left us. That's my strong girl- Thank you again.
