Angie Dye, this sweet angel has been an amazing nurse to E. She has also been a great supporter to me. When E first came in, I was taken back to the time when my other son was in the NICU. This wasn't my first rodeo, then things went downhill. E had a brain bleed. Trying to wrap my mind around this for the first time was terrifying. Not knowing the next steps, was he going to make it or not. Getting the news from Dr. V was tough. Hearing it again from Dr. S also wasn't helping me escape my nightmare.
That same day as Dr. S told me about the bleeding, Angie was also there. As I stood there trying to grasp everything that was explained to me, my mind fogged, blank stare and a heavy heart, Angie gave me a better understanding of his brain bleed, and the potential risks and procedure that could take place. His brain bleed has remained stable. Thankfully it has remained stable, but if it didn't, I was more prepared, more informed and confident. She has always kept me in the loop about anything concerning E. She has been awesome at answering any questions I have.
Though I have had two prior preterm births I didn't know as much as I do now about the NICU. Before, I wasn't comfortable asking questions. Angie has inspired me to keep my faith. She has assured me that this is the best NICU for him, with great nurses and doctors. I couldn't thank her enough for her honesty, genuine smile, and sweet personality. She gave true care to E. Angie is special because it's more than just a career, but a true passion. She shows it in everything she does. Thank you very much nurse Angie for being super awesome.
