I am very proud to recommend Angeli as a recipient for the DAISY Award. However, I must emphasize the fact that this is no ordinary nurse but one that has the capability and willingness to contribute to growth, and progress to the telemetry unit specifically and the organization as a whole. Angeli has been at St. Francis since 2009. She is currently working as a staff nurse, and often assumes the role and responsibility of a charge nurse when needed. She is very much well liked by her patients, family, physicians and co-workers for her willingness to help and assist others when needed. Angeli is very consistent in providing guidance and support to the associates when she is in charge. With our recent Telemetry upgrade project, Angeli proves to be an efficient leader in providing guidance and directions to all associates from the support staff level such as: Monitor Tech, Unit Secretary to direct patient care associates to prepare for the transition. She is very well aligned with goals of the unit related to quality, service, enhancing the patient experience, physician satisfaction, patient and family centered care, and personal engagment with all contacts at all levels. She is a great team player, always stepped up during time of need and did what is right for both patients and associates. Angeli is also motivated and eager to learn, engages well with new projects such as: ARCIS as being a Super User to assist other associates with their learning and training.
